Ladies Philoptochos

St. Magdeline's Philoptochos Society

St. Magdeline's Philoptochos Society is the philanthropic arm of the Greek Orthodox Parish of Hunterdon County, supporting the parish through various fundraisers and helping those in need in the community. Activities include pie sales at Thanksgiving, Christmas wreaths and garland sales, and community dinners.

The Philoptochos played an important role in the success of the past three Parish Dinner Dances, which drew significant revenues for the Parish Building Fund. The ladies plan to help out again with this year's annual Parish Dinner Dance, at 7pm, November 17, at Razberry's Banquet and Conference Center.. Member Doniki Ibrahim is Dinner Dance Chairperson.

The Ladies Philoptochos sponsors many events and programs for the parish. Some of these efforts include assisting other churches in need in the New Jersey and Pennsylvania areas; supporting the Women's Crisis of Flemington, purchasing and gift-wrapping Christmas presents for children at an orphanage in Bucks County Pennsylvania; and selling pastries at the church's annual Greek Festival.

In addition, the parish is thankful to these devoted members for baking the prosphora for us each week! We are grateful to this group of dedicated women for their continued support of our church and for volunteering their time and talents.
