Welcome to the Greek Orthodox Parish of Hunterdon County |
Building Our Future Together |
|
On January 31, 2010, the Metropolis of New Jersey under the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, granted the Greek Orthodox Parish of Hunterdon County its name, St Anna Greek Orthodox Church, and a permanent charter. Located in Hunterdon County, NJ, the Greek Orthodox Parish of Hunterdon County has been serving Western NJ and the Bucks County, Pennsylvania since 2002. We are the first and only Greek Orthodox Church in Hunterdon County, with many activities and ministries to administer to our parish family. Our parish serves about 100 families. Although young in years, we are rich in spirit, faith, and togetherness; proud of our heritage as much as our inspiring diversity; and open to all those seeking Christian fellowship and support. The Greek Orthodox Parish of Hunterdon County is under the jurisdiction of the Metropolis of New Jersey under the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. We are proud of our priest, the Very Reverend Archimandrite and New Jersey Metropolis Chancellor George Nikas. Please read Father George's biography. Regular services are held on Sundays. The Orthros Service begins at 8:00 am followed by the Divine Liturgy at 9:00 am. Youth attend services through the first half of the Divine Liturgy, break for Sunday School, and then return to receive communion. Check the online calendar for additional services. A Fellowship Coffee Hour begins at 10:30 am. We are currently worshipping at the Allerton United Methodist Church, 104 Allerton Road & Route 31 South, Annandale, NJ 08801. We look forward to celebrating soon in our own house of worship, as the parish bought 12 acres of land on Voorhees Corner Road, Raritan Twp. in Hunterdon County in October of 2009. News and Events Online Parish Calendar - The parish calendar is available on the website. The calendar is updated by Bill Panageas.
