Stewardship

  Time, Talent, and Treasure

What Is Stewardship?

Stewardship is simply returning to God some of the blessings he has bestowed upon each one of us, especially to help His Church achieve His mission. These gifts include:

  • Time: Giving of your time to volunteer

  • Talents: Lending your talents - whether simple or grand

  • Treasure: Providing some of your financial resources to help the church function

Our parish needs all parishioners working together in stewardship. To help guide stewardship pledges, we have adopted the "Fair Share" principle of stewardship. The Fair Share is simply everyone's equal share of the parish's operating budget.

In 2008, our budget is $133,000 and the fair share is $1584, or $30/ week.

The Fair Share is only a guide to explain the parish's true need.  Obviously, there are those who cannot afford to give a fair share contribution, just as there are those who can afford to give that and more.  With the knowledge of the church's need, please use your heart as your guide as you make your stewardship pledge. In order to vote in the upcoming General Assembly, please turn in your completed and signed pledge card by Sunday, March 2, 2008.
